Community Involvement and Participation:

SPIS firmly believes in extended community involvement and participation in accordance with the school’s mission and value system. At Savannah Plains International School we welcome and invite parental involvement and school-community partnerships. This participation and commitment ensures that multiple perspectives and experiences are included in the education process. Regular parent teacher meetings and information sessions are held throughout the year. SPIS firmly believes that active parental involvement and support will help the student achieve academic excellence.  Parental and community volunteers are encouraged to participate in the events that take place at SPIS.  

Our goal at SPIS is to raise social awareness and civic responsibility through local and global initiatives.  The Love of Literacy campaign, initiated by SPIS, allows our students visit the local hospital to read to the children who are long-term patients and are unable to attend school. We have also collaborated with an international organization to help raise funds that will allow community members access to clean drinking water. We believe that we can make the world a better place, one student at a time.
